Healed by Bacon – Flipping health on its head!
Tired, gaining weight, funny poos, lacking that spark (in and out of bed!)? Put a hand up if that sounds like you? And put the other hand up if your doctor has told you this is normal?
Well we are here to tell you that it’s not. Healed by Bacon is here to flip your health on its head and turn the food pyramid (and everything you know about it) upside down!
Here at Healed by Bacon we understand that health is complex and that you don’t have endless time to read all of the information available. Plus all this info can be both confusing and contradictory! So we want to provide you with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for help. We want to help women suffering from increasingly prevalent health problems that are not always recognised, understood or acknowledged by our doctors.
Healed by Bacon specialises in providing information on adrenal fatigue, autoimmune disease, metabolic syndromes and hormonal imbalances.
Although we are not doctors (Georgina is a clinical exercise physiologist), our advice and information is based on our own experiences – the long and arduous paths we have followed, knowing something was wrong but being told everything was normal!! We have taken an experimental point of view where by we have tried everything we post about – and we tell you the truth, we will tell you if it doesn’t help. Because what works for us, might work for you.
To help you optimise your health and really live life, through our experiences, we have provided the basic information to get you started on your own journey of healing. This includes medical testing information, initial nutritional advice with some recipes and start up exercise ideas. We have improved our own health through these principles and plans.
Keep your eyes peeled as we add new recipes, exercise ideas and additional medical info.
We want to help you feel the best you can, we want to help you thrive! Healed by Bacon is a resource for you to turn to for help, information, advice and support.

Hiya, I was wondering about the turmeric paste. Is it possible to do it without whey?
LikeLike
Hi there!
Yes, you can make the turmeric paste without the whey – a simple recipe is to boil half a cup of ground turmeric with 1 1/2 teaspoons of black pepper until it forms a thick paste. This can be then kept in a air-tight jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Alternatively, if you don’t have whey or don’t want to use whey in the original recipe, you can substitute it with water and a probiotic capsule (so you open up the capsule and dissolve the probiotics in the water).
Hope this helps!

Hi Holli,
We are so sorry to hear about your daughter. Georgie had a tetanus and hep b vaccination. We know that Georgie has gene mutations/ methylation problems which means that she cannot properly process the toxic metals, used as adjuvants in vaccines. Unfortunately this means health problems can occur. Normal GPs generally do not have an understanding of these issues and it may be best to see a Nutritional Doctor. The website to find such a practitioner in your area is https://www.acnem.org/.
If you have any other questions or want to talk about our journey to detox heavy metals you can send us an email at healedbybacon@gmail.com.
We hope this helps and your daughter gets better soon!
